Violence against women is the most pervasive human rights violation worldwide. Protecting individuals who are at risk of violence because of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability can improve the lives of entire communities. The United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence against Women is the only global grant-making mechanism dedicated to projects that focus on preventing violence, implementing laws, and improving access to vital health care services for women. Because all women deserve to live a life free of violence.
