As our business grew, so did our awareness of the difficult living and working conditions in Nepal. Realizing that we had the power to improve those conditions we partnered with Jhaindra, who now owns his own factory in Kathmandu, and we all agreed it was time to adhere to the principles of fair trade and give our employees an opportunity to rise up out of poverty and enjoy an improved standard of living and quality of life.
